Dyke Path, is one of Wales's long distance walking trails, between Wales'
North coast at Prestatyn and the mouth of the River Wye and the Severn estuary
at Chepstow, via Llangollen , River Dee, Knighton, Hay-on-Wye, Llanthony
Abbey, Tintern Abbey and Chepstow.
This secion of Offa's Dyke Path is an 80 mile way-marked long-distance walking
trail. This hiking tour can be walked in either direction.

walking trail officially opened in 1971 but this long-distance hiking path
follows an earthwork of much greater antiquity. Built by King Offa of Mercia
in the 8th century, Offa's Dyke formed the ancient frontier between England
and Wales. There are no border skirmishes these days, but you'll find miles
of quiet, uninterrupted Welsh countryside, stunning mountain ranges and
a plethora of wildlife.

and Monmouthshire. Cultural heritage sites are in abundance, from the Palaeolithic
Pontnewydd Cave, home to Wales' earliest known settlers, to the Pontcysyllte
Aqueduct from the Industrial Age. This is a strenuous walking holiday, so
we have carefully selected comfortable accommodation to ensure you are well
rested each night!
