You make your own way to Okehampton to start this walking holiday in Devon. We can assist with transfers if necessary.
Car parking is available for the duration of the walk.
Day 2: Okehampton to North Tawton.    12 miles     easy
Leaving Okehampton and the old Norman castle, the Devonshire Heartland Way departs from the old station, home to the Dartmoor Railway. The path skirts the northern edge of Dartmoor and heads for Sampford Courtenay, famous for its part in the Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549. You overnight tonight at North Tawton. A connection can be made here onto the Tarka Trail long distance footpath.

Devon landscape on self-guided walking holiday on Devonshire Heartland Way Day 3: North Tawton to Yeoford.   16 miles   easy
From North Tawton the Devonshire Heartland Way makes its way to Zeal Monochorum, Down St Mary and Colebrooke, where this route intersects with the Two Moors Way. Tonight you overnight at the attractive village of Yeoford.
Day 4: Yeoford to Stoke Canon.   17 miles     easy
The Heatland Trail heads for Crediton today, where St Boniface was born in 680 AD. Then on to Shobrooke, Upton Pyne and Brampford Speke. You finish the walk at Stoke Canon where the path intersects with the Exe Valley Way.
