Walking holiday on Cumbria Way in England's Lake District
On this walking holiday you hike through undulating pastures, farms and open commons and experience stunning views of Coniston Water. You skirt Tarn Hows, cross River Brathay at Skelwith Bridge and follow Great Langdale Beck, beneath the imposing Langdale Fell, to Dungeon Ghyll.
You are now in the very heart of Lakeland, crossing Stake Pass at 1,575ft (480m), and meandering through Borrowdale to Derwentwater and Keswick. You then flank Lonscale Fell and follow Dash Beck down to Bassenthwaite and around the back of Skidda to Caldbeck. The walk ends by following the River Caldew into Carlisle.
This is a popular walking tour of the Lake District, so we have carefully selected comfortable accommodation to ensure you are well rested each night after a busy day hiking and sightseeing.
