The Speyside Way runs from the coast at Buckie,
through the Spey Valley and the heart of the malt whisky country, towards
the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains.
This is a conservation area and a haven for wildlife.
On this walking holiday in Scotland you can visit many
of the Scottish Whisky distilleries: Aberlour, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, and
Macallan to name but a few.
We offer this walking holiday in an upstream direction
as this is how the guide book is written.
This route intersects with the Moray Coastal Trail and the
Dava Way. We will be adding these routes soon.
This 65 mile walk on the Speyside Way starts in the fishing port of Buckie
on the Moray Firth following the coast to Tugnet. Then you walk in the Spey
Valley via Fochabers, Craigellachie, Ballindalloch, Grantown on Spey to
Aviemore. You could visit Speyside Cooperage Visitors Centre and Macallan,
Aberlour, Knockando, Tamdhu, Cragganmore Distilleries.
